Bowel Management Principles in Pediatric Patients: Diagnosis and Management
Bowel Management Principles in Pediatric Patients webinar provides an overview of constipation and continence management strategies in the setting of patients with anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, severe functional constipation, and spinal diseases. This course is applicable to the advanced practice provider as well as the nurse who helps care for any child with bowel management needs. Content addresses the indications for a formal bowel management program, continence potential, soiling evaluation, and subsequent management strategies will all be discussed. Establishment of appropriate treatment goals and long-term outcomes including patient studies will also be presented.

Onnalisa Nash, MS, APRN, CPNP-PC
Onnalisa Nash, MS, APRN, CPNP-PC is an APN program coordinator for the Section of Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She completed her Masters of Science in nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 2012. Onnalisa has worked for Nationwide Children's Hospital since 2005. Her previous experience includes working as a nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit, as a wound, ostomy, and continence nurse and as a primary care nurse practitioner in outpatient pediatrics. She joined the CCPR team in May 2014. She specializes in the care of pediatric patients with colorectal and pelvic reconstruction issues such as Anorectal Malformations, Hirschsprung Disease and other disorders of the bowel. She has lectured nationally and internationally and has authored and co-authored 3 textbooks and multiple journal articles.
Meghan Fisher, BSN, RN, CWON
Meghan Fisher, BSN, RN, CWON, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 2013. She began her career as a pediatric nurse on a GI/Renal unit at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In 2015 she began working as a nurse clinician in the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction (CCPR). She became a clinical leader and educator for CCPR helping to create an onboarding program, develop standardized educational materials for patients, and assist with their international conference. Last year, Meghan transitioned roles in the hospital to join the Wound, Ostomy, and Skin team where she provides support to patients both inpatient and outpatient settings. Meghan has been a poster presenter and podium speaker at several colorectal conferences along with contributor to several colorectal articles published in JPS.
