She provides education and supports patients\, families\, nurses\, advanced practice providers and residents\, helping ensure safe and effective care for children with G-tubes across a variety of settings. Rachael is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and plays an important role in supporting the transition of NICU patients to the acute care setting.In addition to her clinical work\, Rachael is a national leader in pediatric surgical nursing. She recently completed her term as Secretary of the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA) Board of Directors and now serves on the APSNA Development Committee.
