Dr. Shanique Brown Kilgallon is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist with Nemours Children’s Health (NCH) in Wilmington, DE. She is a graduate of the NYU School of Medicine and completed a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she stayed on as faculty for almost six years. At CHOP, she served as Director of Anesthesiology Resident Education in addition to holding many other educational leadership roles within the department. Regionally, Dr. Kilgallon serves as the Chair of the Delaware American Academy of Pediatrics’ (DEAAP) Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee as well as the Chair of the DEAAP JEDI Educational initiatives. Locally, she is a faculty, associate, and resident and trainee educator on a number of topics including diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), building inclusiveness in the perioperative space, airway management, and pediatric trauma; today she will be discussing Malignant Hyperthermia.

Cherie L. Crumpler is a Clinical Nurse Educator at Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. She has 16 years of operating room experience, nine of which have been in pediatrics. She also serves as an adjunct instructor for Wilmington University. In her role as Clinical Nurse Educator, she supports the main hospital and two ambulatory surgery centers. Throughout the past five years, Cherie has worked with the Nemours Children's Institute for Clinical Excellence to provide Perioperative Services with monthly simulations that include topics such as OR fires, trauma, and Malignant Hyperthermia—the topic of today’s discussion.
