Rachael Reif BSN, CBC, CLC is currently an Inpatient Nurse for the Division of Pediatric Surgery at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Rachael has more than 18 years of pediatric nursing experience and specializes in pediatric surgical care, with extensive expertise in gastrostomy tube management and education. She provides education and supports patients, families, nurses, advanced practice providers and residents, helping ensure safe and effective care for children with G-tubes across a variety of settings. Rachael is also a Certified Lactation Counselor and plays an important role in supporting the transition of NICU patients to the acute care setting.
In addition to her clinical work, Rachael is a national leader in pediatric surgical nursing. She recently completed her term as Secretary of the American Pediatric Surgical Nurses Association (APSNA) Board of Directors and now serves on the APSNA Development Committee.
